[As you walk around the city, be it for pleasure or on some errand, there is a very good chance that you will suddenly be swarmed by tiny kids who arrive to happily kick you in the shins. Fortunately, they are still very small, so the kicks are about as effective as being slapped with a soft toy. In fact, some of them choose to press their Pokemon's paws against your ankles instead. Upon questioning, the kids happily explain: it's kick day! The day you can kick if you're small! A day of revenge, cries one of the kids!

An older child, tagging behind the group - clearly the designated babysitter, and bored of the antics, - explains that it's the National Kick A Tall Person Day. That's it, really. You kick anyone taller than you in the shins, - here she half-heartedly taps your legs with her foot, - and you can try to dodge kicks from shorter people. The toddlers love it.

There you have it. You are now free to participate in tormenting anyone taller than you! It seems like the power of the kick is fully dependent on your desire. Do you take this chance at revenge? Do you ignore it to go about your business and avoid further attacks for the day? Do you have an (ir)rational fear of getting kicked and hole up in your room for the day?

Should you try to return the kick favour, however, the kids stop you, frowning, and explain that no, you're not allowed to kick back, you're only allowed to throw the shorter people! Almost immediately, you are surrounded by children demanding you throw them up and down. Enjoy!

[ Sooyoung was definitely on an errand, which already doesn't put her in a good mood. With the kids swarming around her, trying to kick her in the shins, she screams at them to scram after getting the message that it's "kick tall people day". Unbelievable. She's not even all that tall to begin with.

So if you're taller than 158 cm, chances are, Sooyoung is going to take out her anger on you by immediately kicking you in full force in the shins. Hope you know how to dodge. Does it matter if she knows you? No. Die. ]

[This one. This one had the murderbird that hurt her! Hana-chan flies in from the left, running too fast for her stubby legs and weaving all over the place, but she's going for those shins! She makes a probably premature screeching noise of victory before she kicks.]

[ Oh god it's this thing. She also recognizes seeing one with Toki, so she's assuming it came for revenge. Though right before Hana-chan makes it to kick Sooyoung in the shins, Sooyoung just holds her foot out in Hana-chan's face so that her kick doesn't... reach. ]

[patcheel]

[No! She was too slow! Hana-chan squirms in place against Sooyoung's foot, trying to reach the elusive shins. Her victory screech turns to frustrated and out-of-breath grunts. She's had too many creme rolls lately, and she's becoming as unathletic as her Trainer.]

[ Come to think of it, Hana-chan looks a little more squishy than Sooyoung saw her last. She's not the type to comment on cute things, nor does she finds things cute at all, but she looks pretty triumphant. ]

Try harder, brat.

[ She is aware that she probably shouldn't be provoking a pokemon since they are usually much stronger than humans in general, but here she is... living on the edge... with cushions below. She has a plan if things go south. It's fine. ]

Uwa--!!

[Hythlo was not expecting to suddenly get an extremely painful leg sweep from the short girl he was passing, and goes tumbling forward like the tree that he is. The only thing that saves him from breaking his jaw on the sidewalk is the fact that he manages to shield himself just a little bit with an arm, so he just gets the air knocked out of him and maybe some rib bruising. He pulls himself up, hissing in pain.]

W-What's the big idea?!

[patcheel]

[Hana-chan pouts and backs away. It's time for something drastic. She... dances; spinning and undulating, bobbling her head and staring creeply at Sooyoung. And then... she uses her new move, Rage, and goes for the shins again.]

Today's a special day that I can kick as many tree people as I want.

[ She puts her foot down on his back. Victory is hers now. ]

[ Sooyoung honestly doesn't know what Rage is supposed to look like, so she throws an apple squarely at Hana-chan's face because that sure looked like an attempt to attack her. ]

Look... don't you have anything better to do? Like cozying up to your trainer or some shit?

[weenwoon]

[Hythlo is pressed back down onto the asphalt with another "oof". "Tree people"?]

A-Are you Duri's mother?

No--who the hell is Duri?

[ She grinds her heel onto Hythlo's back now. ]

Are you calling me old? I'll kill you, tree.

[weenwoon]

[... Actually, that's not too bad, he's still getting back pain at times. Thanks for the massage, hsy. He manages to chuckle through gritted teeth.]

I-Indeed? And what then, pray tell?

[The apple hits her in the face and falls to the ground. Hana-chan stares at it and rubs her cheek. That hurt. :( But her anger and quest for revenge is over, because at the mention of her Trainer, he appears, finally catching up and wheezing.]

[ What Hythlo will hear next is the sound of a fingersnap, followed by the sensation of something like a cement block slamming down onto Hythlo's back.

[ Practicing dance... with how teeter totter she tends to be? That sounds really uncoordinated to Sooyoung. ]

Your thing was assaulting me. Shouldn't you apologize on her behalf?

[Toki pulls Hana-chan to him as she sneers at Sooyoung.]

Hey! She is not a thing!

[He narrows his eyes. He knows Sooyoung could take him, but he's still mad enough to glare and maybe incite something.]

And your bird hurt her first!

It can hurt her again, even without a battle.

[ Yeah, that's a threat. She doesn't seem to be too put off by Toki's glare and even starts walking up to him.

Then she immediately kicks his shins. Cure your height for today, Toki. ]

[Hythlo actually yells and slams a fist down on the ground in a hopeless attempt to relieve some of the pain, only adding to it because now his hand hurts too. Good job. Hsy, you're going to break his spine.

But even on the brink of death he refuses to give up on his brand.]

A-A little... t-to the right... got a cramp there...

[Please tell him you don't have two Dittos.]

[ She doesn't have two Dittos, but... well, she was going to do something, but now Hythlo just feels creepy to her. ]

Oh my god, you're enjoying this, aren't you? You maso.

[Yes, well, whose fault is that. He sighs, relieved that she doesn't seem to be ready to drop another cement block on him. He wants to live.]

[Toki trembles as she approaches, trying to stand his ground instead of running away - for Hana-chan. He's unaware of this Kick Tall People day, and he doesn't expect the shin attack. He screams like Sooyoung's just stabbed him or something equally horrible, falling to the ground and taking poor Hana-chan with him. He clutches his shins as the tears start falling, looking up at Sooyoung incredulously.]

[... Okay what the fuck. He holds up a hand. It's getting harder to breathe, but he needs to ask.]
