Who: Rhel, Sagi, Akira, Fai, Joss, and Efi | Rhel, Sagi, Joss, and Toki
Where: The ruins
When: At some point this month time is a lie
What: They are finally at Melona! Aaaand Gale's family is missing so that means rescue party go. | After finding her parents, they go looking for her brother.
[This is. So very stressful Rhel's used to having to go into ruins and whatnot, she's a bloody Warrior of Light after all, but she has so rarely been this invested in making sure everyone is okay. The Kings have to be okay. Poor Gale needs them to be okay.
Thankfully, it's not hard to find others who agree to go searching for the missing people, and getting supplies together doesn't take long at all, either.
Still, Rhel can't help but look at the ruins with some degree of trepidation.]
Twelve, I hope we have enough medical supplies...

I think it might be. There's a chance it could happen again, though...
[ He frowns. ]
We're definitely blocked in. We'll need to find some other way out of here.
[ None of his pokemon are good for burrowing or anything like that, though. Hm. ]

[Akira moves to the edge of the shield, looking at the rubble making up most of this cave-in. Again he reaches for a Pokéball, and this time it's a teeny little lizard wearing pointy Kamina sunglasses.]
Sandile. Can you dig through any of this?
[Sandile looks at the many boulders blocking its path and balks, but it puffs out its chest. Of course it can!
no it can't.]no subject
[Gator-like, but weirdly trim and lacking in spikes... Sagi has no clue what this little lizard is meant to be, but he did think Akira bringing in a Pokemon of similar type to pool their strength into one task was pretty smart. Can he pitch in anything like that? Let's see... the Pokemon type best suited to digging...]
Your turn too, Blue. Help him look for another tunnel.
[Marshtomp appears beside him, wagging his little tail fins. It's getting crowded under the shield.]
Fingers crossed it isn't far.
[Sagi glances at Fai. Who knows how long he can hold up...]
no subject
Hopefully it isn't.
[ He continues holding up the shield, trying to keep his tiredness from getting to him. ]
If it is, that's okay. I should be able to hold this until they come back.
no subject
[With his most precious possession now safe, he turns around and motions with his tail for Marshtomp to follow him. The entire time he's giving orders to Marshtomp in his weird squeaky lizard voice, as if to show how digging is Really Done.]

Working in tandem, they return perhaps surprisingly swiftly - there was more dirt and sand behind the collapse than stone. The tunnel that they've hollowed out is tall enough to permit Marshtomp's head fin when he waddles back into view, pokes his head out and says, helpfully, "Tomp tomp."]
I hope that means they want us to follow.
[It looks cramped, particularly to Sagi, but not unmanageable. Sagi finds he doesn't want to question why they didn't take longer. Their little magic bubble under the cave-in might have saved their lives, but he isn't keen to die this far under the sky.]
Okay... [Look out, he's trying to think.] You two [he looks at the Psychic-type Pokemon, still valiantly hanging in there], hold the rocks off our heads too. Then, Fai, you go first. Then you, then me... then when we're clear, we can withdraw Sigilyph and your Pokemon on a count of three. Does that sound like a plan?
[It's barely a plan.]
no subject
[ He'd honestly assumed he would be last, since Akira and Sagi are practically babies to him and he would prefer they go first. ]
I really don't mind being the last to get out. I trust your Pokemon to hold the rocks off long enough for me to leave.
no subject
[Akira walks over and actually picks up Slowpoke, so that he doesn't have to go through the strain of walking and using his psychic powers at the same time. If they waited for him to move they'd be here all day, and probably get caved in on and die.]
no subject
[Arguing will just waste more of however much time they have left on that shield before Fai keels over. Clutching Sigilyph's Pokeball to his chest, flattening his wings against his side, he ducks into the tunnel first.]
Whoever's last, shout when you're clear.
no subject
I'm here!
[ He doesn't shout, but says it loud enough for Sagi and Akira to hear. ]
no subject
Let it down, Slowpoke.
[The Psychic type groans helpfully and, on Akira's command, sets down what telekinetic burden he'd been carrying. From there he returns Slowpoke to a Pokéball, because this tunnel is not that big, and keeps moving ahead.]
no subject
Thanks. You did good.
[He keeps following Marshtomp, who in turn is following Akira's Sandile in the lead - but presently, he has to stop. Sorry, Akira's mouth.]
Hold up, there's a fork. Is that what you wanted to show us?
["Maah," says his Marshtomp, which explains nothing. Sagi pulls a face which nobody can see and shines his glowing dagger ahead instead.]
Left, right, or down... No, we'll just get more buried if we go down. Which way, guys?
no subject
I agree, down would be a bad idea. [ He hums, thinking. ] What about left? We may be able to get back to our original path.
no subject
If we go right, we'll just meet up with the others, and this would all be a waste.
[Sandile makes a weird little gurgly noise. Everyone seems like they're in agreement so he takes the lead again, heading down the leftmost tunnel.]
no subject
[Both reasons make sense to Sagi, and they still don't have the luxury of sitting around to argue. He keeps following the two Pokemon, his dagger lighting them up in silhouette at best - but finally, the tunnel walls give way to flat stonework, and they emerge in another hallway.
The moment Sagi sees an actual ceiling ahead, he scrambles the hell out of Akira's way and hauls himself to his feet. Excuse him while he stretches his wings and brushes some of the debris off his clothes.]
Ohh, jeez, finally. I thought we might be stuck in there for good.
[He didn't seriously think that, but it's still a relief to have space to stand up again, even though there's no telling whether it's the same as the one that collapsed. It doesn't occur to him to look around yet.]
no subject
He goes to touch the rock. ]
Hm. Looks like it was placed here to block something. I wonder what's behind this?
no subject
[There's no way the kids could have gotten past here. Akira kicks it lightly, not for any particular purpose of investigation, mostly just for something to do with his foot.]
But it looks like it's here for a reason, right?
no subject
[Fai's wondering was already enough to convince Sagi that taking a peek might be worthwhile. With little fanfare, he takes out a blank card and holds it up to the rock slab to activate it. With a flash of light nearly as bright as the glow from his dagger blade and a high pitched sound, the rock fades out of physical existence.
Causing a shower of yet more debris to come crashing down the moment it's gone. Startled, Sagi hops backward out of the way with a yelp and a clatter of feathers. Who could have seen this coming?]
no subject
Hyuu, nice carvings. This is one of the legendary Pokemon, isn't it?
[ He vaguely remembers it from some of the books he's flipped through. ]
no subject
[Sagi's doing something? Akira just watches in confusion as he lightly taps what looks like a card against the rock, and it simply disappears into air. He continues to watch in confusion, and possibly something else, as the entire ceiling shudders above them.]
[However, any grumbling is quickly silenced by what's inside the cave.]
...Cool...
[Yeah, he's gonna whip out his phone and start taking photos. As if there's some Instagram he can post it to.]
no subject
Whoa. I think you're right. This is... a shrine? There's dolls, there's offerings. Not Kyogre... which one was it?
[He looks over at whatever Akira is doing. It seems like the kids couldn't have come this way after all, not with the load-bearing slab blocking them - he figures it would be useless to try putting it back now - but this is it, the first piece of evidence that the godlike presence out there isn't all in their heads. The kind of thing Joonghyuk and that Nozomi girl had really wanted to hear about. They shouldn't just walk away.]
Does that thing work as a camera? [Today in things that definitely came out of the mouth of someone wearing stupid armoured bracers who previously didn't know what a phone was.] Can you... take pictures of the whole room? It feels important.
no subject
Taking pictures is a good idea.
[ Especially since Fai isn't sure how long this room will still be here after they leave it... the way the ceiling above them shuddered has him believing it'll collapse eventually.
He crouches down to get a better look at some of the dolls without touching them. ]
Hmmm... was it Groudon? I'm sad to admit I don't remember much aside from the name.
no subject
[Akira changes his approach, from getting aesthetically pleasing shots of certain objects or altars to getting large sweeping photos of the entire room. More for documentation than for visual appeal.]
Uh, Groudon... that was an earth god, right? Hopefully he won't get mad if his shrine becomes one with the earth...
no subject
[Sagi holds his dagger steady towards the middle of the room to maintain a little extra light for the photos, but waits near the exit instead of wandering around or touching anything. Akira's got this covered, so now he can safely shove all deeper contemplation of the shrine aside for later. They still have some kids and chaperones to find.]
no subject
[ It feels like he read that somewhere, at least. Fai makes his way back to the exit, both so he can be ready to leave and give Akira more room to work with. ]
I agree... it's a good thing there's no one here. We should move on as soon as Akira's done. Hopefully we're close to finding everyone.
