[As you walk around the city, be it for pleasure or on some errand, there is a very good chance that you will suddenly be swarmed by tiny kids who arrive to happily kick you in the shins. Fortunately, they are still very small, so the kicks are about as effective as being slapped with a soft toy. In fact, some of them choose to press their Pokemon's paws against your ankles instead. Upon questioning, the kids happily explain: it's kick day! The day you can kick if you're small! A day of revenge, cries one of the kids!

An older child, tagging behind the group - clearly the designated babysitter, and bored of the antics, - explains that it's the National Kick A Tall Person Day. That's it, really. You kick anyone taller than you in the shins, - here she half-heartedly taps your legs with her foot, - and you can try to dodge kicks from shorter people. The toddlers love it.

There you have it. You are now free to participate in tormenting anyone taller than you! It seems like the power of the kick is fully dependent on your desire. Do you take this chance at revenge? Do you ignore it to go about your business and avoid further attacks for the day? Do you have an (ir)rational fear of getting kicked and hole up in your room for the day?

Should you try to return the kick favour, however, the kids stop you, frowning, and explain that no, you're not allowed to kick back, you're only allowed to throw the shorter people! Almost immediately, you are surrounded by children demanding you throw them up and down. Enjoy!

[Normally, Hythlo would have no qualms about cheerfully admitting to it, but the encounter with Sooyoung and the realization that Hien must have seen him get half-vored by the Cramorant just makes Hythlo feel like he wants to wink out of existence.]

[ It looks like Hythlo's paintrain isn't quite over yet because Hien just gently topples Hythlo over to the ground and starts massaging his back.

He's good with his hands, actually. ]

[Hythlo just whines a little in an overexaggerated way when Hien tips him over. Maybe he should become a tree and go live in the forest.

The massage is soothing, though, so he just sighs and puts his head on his arms, trying to relax.]

Is this what they call 'karma', I wonder. A most curious concept.

[ Hien is just giving him a normal massage from his side. No straddling nor questionable positions. He presses his hand in places where he thinks would have the most knots... he used to do this for his parents all the time and used to work in a massage parlor, so he does have experience. ]

You'll be fine with whatever they throw at you because you'll always have support from your friends to lean on.

[Working out some of those knots is pretty painful, but Hythlo does his best to hold on. Besides, the warmth and the feeling of pleasant tiredness are pretty calming.]

[ She wouldn't stab him right away, okay! There's law and order on this land!! But Hien thinks along a similar line, since he thinks he wouldn't be able to get along with her no matter what he tried. It's just those kinds of people. ]

[ He's just gonna tell it like it is, but at least he's not being self-depreciating like "you'll still be good without me".

[Hien might want to rethink that statement once he remembers Hythlo is friends with Toki. Now that sure is a supportive pillar. Whatever Hythlo was about to say, though, dies on his lips as fireworks explode in front of his eyes and he emits a low whine. HE'S NOT... GOING TO CRY...

[ Oh. Hien notices Hythlo's body language as something must be wrong and stops immediately. ]

[ Hien just pats Hythlo's back now. There, there. ]

[Hythlo makes a complaining whine, but more at thinking about hsy than the pats. The pats are nice.]

Lumberjack... What right has she got, calling me a tree? And then insulting me by saying I am a twig.

[ Shhh... Hien will continue to pat his back. There, there. It'll feel all better soon. ]

I mean, you are pretty tall. She could have called you a tower instead. Kinda wish you could give me some of your inches.

[ Hien is curious since Hythlo always has clothes that make it hard to see how his body is supposed to look like, so he leans over to massage his arm. ]

... I wouldn't say you're a twig though.

I would certainly share, if there was a way. 'Twould save me a lot of back pain, as well.

[Ooh, arm massage in addition to the back! He's certainly getting pampered today, though he wishes it didn't take Sooyoung trying to murder him to get this. He hums in a pleased way.]

[ Hien is quiet when Hythlo asks that and only massages his arms even harder enough for pain. ]

[Hythlo freezes for a moment as he contemplates what Hien might be hiding in his cloak. The thought is actually scary.

Hien sighs and returns to patting his back. ]

I don't have preferences on skinny vs muscular people. But I was going to say if you're actually a twig like that woman suggested, I'd suggest you eat some more.

[Unfortunately for Hien, the earlier "defeat" at the hands of Sooyoung still annoys him, and at this point Hythlo accepted that today is a day of pain. He's not going ANYWHERE tomorrow.

He whines, trying to curl up so that the twisting doesn't hurt as much.]
