The nightmare is finally over and the aftermath sinks in. Wherever you are, news will eventually spread that the pokemon stopped their rampaging status, looking confused and some horrified by what had happened around them. Mari's Steelixes are finally off their guard duty, people are crying out of various emotions and people who are physically well enough flood out of the shelters in an attempt to search for their loved ones out there, whether they be people or pokemon. Some are reunited, some are not. Either way, people are in this together, comforting others over their losses and rebuilding the city. There's been quite a lot of destruction apart from the Pokemon Center and the hospital, after all. Some buildings are missing a roof, holes on the side wall, doors knocked down... some are unfortunate to have been entirely blasted away by an extremely strong rampaging pokemon's hyper beam (thanks, random Hydreigon).

After most people calm from their initial high emotions, the reconstruction starts. Of course, they also contact the people from Toran who helped with reconstruction efforts. Looks like the handymen will never rest...

The Pokemon Center is looking for additional manpower, getting pokeballs here to there, labeling whose pokemon are whose in things looking like incubators for those in queue of getting healed, and managing supplies. They are extremely short-staffed right now, so they will be looking for any help possible. Though, if you cause too much trouble than helping, you may be politely asked to leave or to help somewhere else. They don't have time for this. During the nights, the Pokemon Center may be crowded. After all, many people just lost their homes. They got nowhere to go.

The hospital is similar, in which they are also short-staffed. They're looking for disaster volunteers, and especially pokemon with healing capabilities to lessen the load on doctors and nurses who need to care for the more gravely wounded. With more help, the hospital will no longer seem as chaotic as before, but more along the lines of an orderly busy time. It helps that the people are no longer stuck inside due to the ongoings of the events outside, so the hospital is emptier than before, compared to when it was jam packed. The mental health department is also using Drowzees and Munnas to give people good dreams and eating nightmares without repercussions so that they can have a good night's rest. Not all wounds are physical, after all.

With the local Mart's help and other establishments, some people band together to supply people with food and drinks in a very open area in the park. Take a breather and eat something. If you look like you're running yourself ragged, one of the townspeople will drag you to eat and drink a proper meal. They don't need another patient in the hospital right now.

Remember that boba shop? Or those restaurants that you had the delicious meat from? Their damages vary from a broken window to being absolutely trashed. Pokemon and people alike are helping with moving the debris and cleaning up the mess. Someone piped up about recycling broken glass to make brand new windows with fire pokemon and proper glass making methods, so please don't throw them away!

The Radio Tower and the cemetery tower? They're both closed off to the public right now with yellow police caution tapes all around them. Your friendly policemen who all look the same advise nearby people to stay away from the two buildings at the moment. Please don't cause trouble or ask them questions... they're tired as it is like everyone else and they're not allowed to say anything for now, if ever. Your energy is better used elsewhere.

[ The thought of them having to recreate glass for a long time makes Ala look away, because no... this city is in pretty bad shape, if that's the case, and she feels a little bad about it! Think about how cold and drafty it's going to be without any windows. ]

We better hurry it up, then, before it gets too cold! In the meantime, do we get bonfires? Hot cocoa?

[ She takes the broom, gives it a little twirl and immediately sneezes and stops that, because the thing is covered in dust. Okay. Proper sweeping it is. ]

[ He watches her twirl it and sneeze, laughing a little. ]

Be careful! A lot of our supplies are pretty dusty.

[ He'll pick back up on the sweeping too. ]

I haven't seen any bonfires, but there's no reason why we couldn't make one somewhere. I could also probably find us some supplies for some hot cocoa.

Hehe~ Let's make a bonfire, then! When the sun goes down, and it's too dangerous to walk around all this glass! Promise, mister?

[ Bonfire and hot cocoa! What better incentive to work hard than the prospect of a nice cozy time after, especially since they'll have to clear the street of all this glass before it's safe enough to sit around a little fire. ]

I promise!

[ It actually sounds like it would be fun to sit around the fire at night. Maybe some of the townspeople would like it too. ]

You can just call me Fai, by the way. What's your name?

My name's Ala! You don't want to be called mister Fai? It makes you sound all fancy~

[ He looks fancy! aka pretty, compared to the vast majority of people around here. ]

[partymagician]

You can call me that if you want! Can I call you Miss Ala in return?

[ It'll be like they're in some kind of period piece.

He continues sweeping. Looks like they almost have this section of the area they're in cleared. ]

Yeah! Then I get to be fancy too~

[ What little girl doesn't want to feel like a princess, anyways? Even if she isn't so little anymore. This sort of treatment is still rare, when you live in the middle of nowhere with not a lot of other kids around and your best friend is a foul-mouthed punk.

The little miss is determined to be hard working, though. Not really for the sake of helping out, but for the sake of bonfires and hot chocolate and— oh ]

That's it for this street! But for the next, this'll go a lot faster if Colgate helped, I think! He can make the wind blow, and as long as we stay out of the way, I think it should be safe enough to blow all the glass pieces together in a pile?

[ Sweeping like this is tiring, so he's willing to try another solution. ]

Hmm, that's not a bad idea! Let's try that out. There aren't many people around this area, so I don't think we need to worry about someone getting hurt.

[parhellia]

Alright~!

[ She uses her broom to "sweep" Fai towards the alleyway so they can tuck themselves in there and out of the way, before she reaches into her side bag and pulls out a black and gold ultra ball, clicking the button in the center to expand it and release her Dratini. ]

Colgate, let's try using cherry picker on the glass!

[ This translates to Twister, by which a gust of wind picks up and pitches down the street, pulling the heavy glass into the cyclone except the lighter dust scatters everywhere consequently and Ala is forced to pull her hood up over his head to avoid getting dust in her eyes. It works! Sort of! ]

[partymagician]

[ Oh hey, a Dratini! He'd been told about them and it's cool to finally see one in person. They're so long...

He watches as the glass flies down the street, but covers his face with his hand and turns away when the dust flies towards them. Fai could probably use his barrier now to protect them from it, but he doesn't like using it for simple things like this so they'll just get covered in dust instead. ]

Hyuu, how cool! [ He can actually whistle but he's just going to stick to making whistle sounds instead because it's fun.

There's dust all over the street though, and he taps his broom. ]

Shall we sweep up some of the dust? It shouldn't take us long, since the hard part was taken care of.

Hyuu...

[ Ala grins and picks up her broom once more, refraining from spinning it around and kicking up even more dust. Dust is a natural part of the world? Why do they have to sweep it all up. ]

Yeah, just a little more and we're almost done! Wish it'd rain, though, to take care of all this for us. Mud's a lot more fun than dust, too!

[ He smiles when Ala copies him. Finally someone will do it with him. ]

I agree! I know my Marshtomp would agree as well. She loves to play around in the mud.

[ Fai resumes sweeping as he speaks. Thankfully the dust won't take long at all since it's not as dangerous as the glass and it sweeps up easily. ]

Ooh, is Marshtomp your Pokemon? What sort is she? I want to see!

[ Fai is doing a lot more sweeping than Ala is, seeing as she sort of stands it upright and leans on it excitedly for support, like it's a cane. [

[partymagician]

[ He doesn't mind that she doesn't seem to be sweeping at all, smiling as he stops himself and pulls out a Pokeball from the bag at his hip. They're almost done anyway, so there's no reason not to show her.

Fai releases the Marshtomp, who looks up at Ala curiously. Does she have food? ]

She's sort of like a fish! [ He pauses. ] Well... a walking one.

[parhellia]

Oh! You're sorta like a kappa!

[ Not really, but that's the closest thing to a walking fish that she can think of, though while she's excited to see a new Pokemon, her Dratini curls around her feet and hides behind her back, shy. ]

Aw, come say hi, Colgate!

[ She doesn't have food, but she does pat Marshtomp on the head. ]

Is Marshtomp your name, or is it your species name?

[partymagician]

[ A kappa? He'll have to ask what that is later.

Fai crouches down a little, hoping that encourages Colgate to come closer. ]

Marshtomp is her species name. I actually don't have a name for her just yet.

[ He likes to give his Pokemon fitting names, but nothing is coming to mind. ]

[ Colgate lowers his head a little, like it would make him be smaller and better able to hide behind Ala despite being 6 feet long. ]

Oh... Sometimes you'll swap between a couple to see what fits, huh? I was told Colgate's name when I got him, and I think it fits! It's funny.

[ She turns and scoops the Dratini up in her arms so it has nowhere to go, curled up into a noodly ball and continuing to peer up at Fai. ]

There we go. See? We're friends! I don't think Colgate's seen many people before, but he's really fun once you get to know him, so don't think he hates you or anything...

I almost wish someone would give me a list of names for my Pokemon. It would be easier that way, I think.

[ He holds his hand out to Colgate, testing the waters before actually reaching out to pat him. ]

I understand! My own Pokemon, Chii, is really nervous around those she doesn't know. Although... she's much smaller and can actually hide behind my legs.

[parhellia]

[ Colgate shrinks back in Ala's arms until he can no longer physically retreat anymore, and tolerates the head pats, even leaning into Fai's hand for a moment before shying away again. He looks somewhat confused at the gesture, but not displeased. ]

Hehe... I'll just have to get big and strong so Colgate can hide properly! Chii's a cute name, though... can we meet her?

[ He coos a little at Colgate because he's so shy that it's adorable. ]

Of course!

[ And he takes his hand away from Colgate to get out Chii's ball and set her free. Just like Fai said, she's immediately shy at the girl and Pokemon she doesn't recognize, diving to hide behind Fai's legs. ]

See, she's also pretty shy.
