The nightmare is finally over and the aftermath sinks in. Wherever you are, news will eventually spread that the pokemon stopped their rampaging status, looking confused and some horrified by what had happened around them. Mari's Steelixes are finally off their guard duty, people are crying out of various emotions and people who are physically well enough flood out of the shelters in an attempt to search for their loved ones out there, whether they be people or pokemon. Some are reunited, some are not. Either way, people are in this together, comforting others over their losses and rebuilding the city. There's been quite a lot of destruction apart from the Pokemon Center and the hospital, after all. Some buildings are missing a roof, holes on the side wall, doors knocked down... some are unfortunate to have been entirely blasted away by an extremely strong rampaging pokemon's hyper beam (thanks, random Hydreigon).

After most people calm from their initial high emotions, the reconstruction starts. Of course, they also contact the people from Toran who helped with reconstruction efforts. Looks like the handymen will never rest...

The Pokemon Center is looking for additional manpower, getting pokeballs here to there, labeling whose pokemon are whose in things looking like incubators for those in queue of getting healed, and managing supplies. They are extremely short-staffed right now, so they will be looking for any help possible. Though, if you cause too much trouble than helping, you may be politely asked to leave or to help somewhere else. They don't have time for this. During the nights, the Pokemon Center may be crowded. After all, many people just lost their homes. They got nowhere to go.

The hospital is similar, in which they are also short-staffed. They're looking for disaster volunteers, and especially pokemon with healing capabilities to lessen the load on doctors and nurses who need to care for the more gravely wounded. With more help, the hospital will no longer seem as chaotic as before, but more along the lines of an orderly busy time. It helps that the people are no longer stuck inside due to the ongoings of the events outside, so the hospital is emptier than before, compared to when it was jam packed. The mental health department is also using Drowzees and Munnas to give people good dreams and eating nightmares without repercussions so that they can have a good night's rest. Not all wounds are physical, after all.

With the local Mart's help and other establishments, some people band together to supply people with food and drinks in a very open area in the park. Take a breather and eat something. If you look like you're running yourself ragged, one of the townspeople will drag you to eat and drink a proper meal. They don't need another patient in the hospital right now.

Remember that boba shop? Or those restaurants that you had the delicious meat from? Their damages vary from a broken window to being absolutely trashed. Pokemon and people alike are helping with moving the debris and cleaning up the mess. Someone piped up about recycling broken glass to make brand new windows with fire pokemon and proper glass making methods, so please don't throw them away!

The Radio Tower and the cemetery tower? They're both closed off to the public right now with yellow police caution tapes all around them. Your friendly policemen who all look the same advise nearby people to stay away from the two buildings at the moment. Please don't cause trouble or ask them questions... they're tired as it is like everyone else and they're not allowed to say anything for now, if ever. Your energy is better used elsewhere.

[ Now that that's finished, he starts to unravel some of the bandages in his lap. ]

...I'll try not to. [ He pauses. ] It's easier to help everyone with rebuilding than it is to think about what happened.

[ He says that quietly, in the hopes that Hien can't hear it but he probably can anyway. ]

[ Hien sure heard that, but he isn't sure if he can say anything in response. Fai's manner of dealing with things have been largely different from his own, from what he's gathered. What works for himself, doesn't work for most people. ]

... If you have trouble sleeping, I'll help you.

[ He starts working on bandaging up Hien's arm, but he pauses and looks at Hien with furrowed brows. ]

Really? How?

I thought about using Hatenna's Aromatherapy with a scalp massage.

[ Since his headpats are high grade, he might as well take advantage of it. ]

It works on a lot of people. If not, I can just knock you out the old fashioned way, but I don't think either of us would like that.

Hmm, probably not.

[ He laughs a little, resuming wrapping up his arm. ]

I'll consider it. I should be able to get to sleep eventually if I try for long enough.

[ He doesn't want to cause trouble for Hien. ]

[ He doesn't read minds, but he knows way too many people who think like this, so-- ]

Let me know anytime. I'd rather help, so you wouldn't be bothering me or anything.

[ He needs to start learning to accept help.

Fai continues to wrap up his arm. ]

I think I'm almost done.

[ Hien is here for all his practicing needs. He looks over at his arm and... huh. It's actually really nicely bandaged. He thinks it's a shame that he'll probably have to undo it all later in the same day, but he looks up at Fai. ]

... Thanks, again. Could I ask for your help again on this another time? I can keep the supplies with me so you don't have to run back and get more.

Of course.

[ He takes the supplies still in his own lap and dumps them onto Hien's. ]

I can help you with it anytime. I used to dress Kuro-sama's wounds every day for a while.

[ It's why he knows how to do it. ]

[ Since he isn't wearing the cloak right now, Hien just grabs the supplies and drops them on his cloak, which... falls in as if there's a hole in there instead. ]

Must be nice to have a competent guy dressing your wounds all the time.

[ Kuro-pyon sure is lucky... Anyway, Hien undos the clip on his sleeve and puts the cloak on again. He can be a rain doll with legs once more. ]

I wouldn't want to hold you up here if you got other things to do.

[ Fai watches the supplies literally fall into the cloak. Wow. He kind of wants to throw other things in there just to see, but he won't.

Instead, he shifts to lay back against the tree himself. ]

I don't have anything to go do right now. [ He pauses. ] I'm actually pretty tired.

[ Maybe he'll just fall asleep right here. ]

I thought so. Why don't you just sleep right here? I got a pillow and everything.

[ And by pillow, he means Mimi, who he gets out of the pokeball. He shakes a little as if to say FREEDOM... and he sees Fai and hops over to him to nuzzle his side. ]

Oh, Mimi! It's good to see you.

[ He ruffles Mimi's fur a little and cuddles up to him and... promptly falls asleep. ]

[ Oh my god. Hien laughs at how easily Fai fell asleep, but perhaps it's also pretty telling as to how exhausted Fai was. That event took a lot out of everyone. Mimi looks confused over at Hien, and he waves with a hand. Go ahead, be his fluffy pillow for the night. Mimi happily obliges because he likes Fai.

Hien changes Fai's position on the ground so that he won't wake up with body aches. He himself sits against the tree trunk, deciding to watch over him. He brushes some of the fringes away from Fai's face and quietly breathes out after withdrawing his hand.

This... isn't going to work out, is it--is something he thinks to himself as he sits there, staring up at the sky at the gradually setting sun. There will always be a time and place for everything, but sometimes things just aren't meant to be. ]
