[OPEN] 9/15 - Team Meeting

[ With an info-gathering session on the eighth, Nanami decides to wait a few more days until they're about two weeks into the month to gather everyone again. She realizes that all the team members haven't sat down properly to bond with each other in a single group setting. She knows the importance of making sure that you get every single unit to have at least an A-rank with someone (S-rank if they're super compatible) and keeping up team morale so, on the thirteenth, a familiar shiny Mimikyu comes running up to everyone with a written note pinned on his costume: ]

[ Upon entering Le Nah the following day, a waiter will show the trainer to a large area in the back with multiple tables pushed together. There are already some appetizers ordered and spread across so feel free to help yourself. Nanami sits near the middle with her Mimikyu, feeding him by dropping little bits of food in front of him, and talking with her Mudkip, who just :V :V :V, as if she understands what he's saying. ]

[ She looks at the band. Hm, well, that does mark him as an outsider, but she is still Suspicious and Squinting. However, she will push that aside because they do need to come up with a plan in a timely manner. She nods. ]

Having a Pikachu with Lightning Rod is a good idea, but they don't normally live on this island.

[ At least that she's seen. She does not know about Sooyoung's bird who likes to spit out Pikachus... ]

... but Goldeens have Lightning Rod as a hidden ability.

[ Since they're... you know, hidden. That's what Sooyoung figures anyway, since she doesn't know about those. ]

The guy with the fluffy brown hair has a Pikachu from what I saw. My bird pukes Pikachus from time to time, but I can't seem to catch one.

[ She nods. They do happen with special conditions, but if they're limited on Pikachus, they'll have to try whatever they can to get those Goldeens. Or, if what this avatar is saying is true... ]

... do you have a Cramorant?

Yeah. It's impractical to make it throw up Pikachus on demand whenever lightning strikes though.

[ Because it's based on chance. Also, it's gross. ]

We might have to breed for Pichus then. Maybe someone at the Daycare has a Ditto we can borrow.

[ Let your Pokemon bone, Sooyoung. ]

[ At this point, the avatar chooses to forego hiding the fact that he's related to Sooyoung, or is Sooyoung by listing the pokemon she has. It's useful information exchange, and the pros outweigh the cons. ]

I have a Ditto, but it's probably not interested in making eggs. Let the breeders do their job instead.

[ The Suspicion and Squinting lessen with this reveal. She nods. She'll ask the Daycare about it (but never actually will because haha coma). ]

[ Being spoken to with honorifics feels so freaking weird, but the avatar remains composed. Too bad Nanami won't see the actual Sooyoung rescue her, because then she could be like "oh. han-san has a twin. naruhodo." ]

[ I guess Sooyoung will also be making a trip to the Daycare Center on her own after all this, since Nanami will be coma'd. The avatar sighs ]

Get mistaken a lot. Anyway, should we designate someone to convince the townspeople for evacuations at least?

[ Well, since the avatar is continuing to move back into talking about the plans to leave, Nanami will decide to just drop asking any more questions about this "Soohyun". ]

Mmhm, we should find someone who have a good relationship with the townspeople to speak with them. I think... that might be Sagi-kun.

But it's not like the avatar nor Sooyoung will do it. So, he'll just have to make do with contacting Sagi later. ]

Is there no one else with better charisma?

Hmm, Chigasaki-kun is pretty charismatic...

[ He glances over at Itaru and thinks so too, in a different way. At least from what he's known of so far. ]

It looks like he'd be extremely motivated too, if it's for the sake of the people.

[ She nods. He's a gamer so that means he's a really good guy! At least in her book. ]

I can ask him if he'd be willing to help.

[ Though the avatar has another thing he wants to confirm. ]

One more thing. I heard that the berries are used in the boba drinks and that berries, when eaten raw, cause people to get sick. Arisato has been chugging them all day every day, but I also saw that some foreigners had gotten sick from eating berries.

[ Nanami pauses before she answers. ]

Hmmm, I think... Arisato-kun just doesn't feel the effects of sugar crashes.

[ the avatar raises an eyebrow, because... what?? ]

So what's causing the people to go zombie are just sugar crashes? I thought excessive berry consumption was making them be like that.

Oh. I was planning to go out to sea with you guys, but I don't mind staying behind for backup? Like, if one of us with a Mudkip should do it, it may as well be me.

You can still come with us. I think a few people are already staying, but if you can just talk to a few of the townspeople before you leave, that'll be helpful.

[ Nanami wants Itaru to come so he's not allowed to stay. Also... ]

Maybe if you use Charm on them, they'll follow us.

I can still hope that convincing them would be easy if things gets stormier around here, but... Guess I'll use that as a last resort.

E... Either way, we don't have that kind of authority. "Because we think so" isn't going to cut it.

Eh, I think it wouldn't be hard to convince them to evacuate, especially when the rainstorm's about to get worse down the line. This is pretty much in line with typhoons back home.

[Stage fright has never really been a concern of Sagi's, but not being listened to defined his short and stupid career as a diplomat. He still looks faintly sceptical. On the other hand, Itaru strikes him as having a better handle on the overall situation than he does...]

Well, at worst, we can try. Starting with the people at the Centre, maybe. Whoever we manage to get on side first can help spread the word afterwards.
