[OPEN] 9/15 - Team Meeting

[ With an info-gathering session on the eighth, Nanami decides to wait a few more days until they're about two weeks into the month to gather everyone again. She realizes that all the team members haven't sat down properly to bond with each other in a single group setting. She knows the importance of making sure that you get every single unit to have at least an A-rank with someone (S-rank if they're super compatible) and keeping up team morale so, on the thirteenth, a familiar shiny Mimikyu comes running up to everyone with a written note pinned on his costume: ]

team meeting plans to go to other islands and other discussions free food at Restaurant Le Nah tomorrow at 6:00pm - Nanami

[ Upon entering Le Nah the following day, a waiter will show the trainer to a large area in the back with multiple tables pushed together. There are already some appetizers ordered and spread across so feel free to help yourself. Nanami sits near the middle with her Mimikyu, feeding him by dropping little bits of food in front of him, and talking with her Mudkip, who just :V :V :V, as if she understands what he's saying. ]

[Well, that's one way to interpret it which Atsushi didn't consider. He'd thought that the calming of the lake wouldn't be temporary, because they'd then deal with the Gyarados and it would be over. No... she said go around.]

My Mudkip's not helping in that scenario.

[That's so far away from the point, and Atsushi is a little incredulous it's what Nanami thinks of first.]

That's not the reason at all. It's not right to escape and let everyone else deal with this, like Sagi said.

[ Her bad. She's just used to everyone worrying about the Gyarados and it kicking the ass of every Pokemon that comes nearby. ]

It's not, but I never said that we're not coming back. Sometimes, you need to move forward a bit in order to come back and help everyone properly.

I still don't like it. It's too much like abandoning these people, who've been providing for us since we got here.

[He doesn't have a frame of reference to separate the townspeople and designate them equivalent to NPCs.]

...Yeah, I agree with him. I don't think you're wrong either, but if there's a problem right in front of us, we owe it to these people to at least try.

[ She nods. She can understand why people would object to her plan. She doesn't fault them at all and she certainly doesn't seem hurt by the objections. ]

Mm, it's a good reason to stay. I think if you want to help, no one should tell you not to. You should do what you believe in.

[ That's her whole message here, guys!! Just do what you want!! Don't think her solution is the only solution!! Do your own shit and don't let anyone tell you otherwise!! ]

We can also split up so some people can remain on Toran to continue assisting the townspeople and the others can go to the next island to find more help.

That might be best, splitting up.

[It is important to get more help from the other islands, but it's not a guarantee anyone would return, even if they intend to.]

[ Yet another nod. Also... hm, her social skills definitely still need work but she was able to tell that she upset people so she needs to apologize. ]

I'm sorry for making you all upset. I'm still not good at talking... I think.

[ She's not pausing as often in between her words and sentences, but she's still having trouble speaking. Things are easier when you got people like Hinata to smooth things out for her. ]

[He's calmed down again, at least. It would be incredibly obvious if he hadn't.]

[Atsushi feels horrible now, that he raised his voice and Nanami felt the need to apologize for her way of conversing. It will be another twisting spike in his insides, gnawing away for the rest of the meeting.]

I-it's alright. It was... I shouldn't have assumed the worst of you because it wasn't a clear statement.

[Sagi shoots him a sidelong look. Seems like they're all just kind of awkward today, himself included.]

Atsushi, you're fine, too. Just forget about it.

[This meeting is just full of awkward and Atsushi needs to leave before things get worse. He rambles while not making eye contact, and basically running away.]

Yes, well- I'll go with the group leaving the island if we do it this way because I have a Mudkip and they're needed for that, right? I'm still hungry, so I'm going to get more food and I'll talk to you two later!
