[OPEN] 9/15 - Team Meeting

[ With an info-gathering session on the eighth, Nanami decides to wait a few more days until they're about two weeks into the month to gather everyone again. She realizes that all the team members haven't sat down properly to bond with each other in a single group setting. She knows the importance of making sure that you get every single unit to have at least an A-rank with someone (S-rank if they're super compatible) and keeping up team morale so, on the thirteenth, a familiar shiny Mimikyu comes running up to everyone with a written note pinned on his costume: ]

team meeting
plans to go to other islands
and other discussions
free food at Restaurant Le Nah
tomorrow at 6:00pm
- Nanami

[ Upon entering Le Nah the following day, a waiter will show the trainer to a large area in the back with multiple tables pushed together. There are already some appetizers ordered and spread across so feel free to help yourself. Nanami sits near the middle with her Mimikyu, feeding him by dropping little bits of food in front of him, and talking with her Mudkip, who just :V :V :V, as if she understands what he's saying. ]

( ooc: threadjacking is highly recommended in this log as it will be a group discussion! feel free to also create new top-levels that will only have a single type of discussion to keep things focused on the topic. )

Magikarp are usually red.

[ And tasty. You can get them fried at this very restaurant if you wanted and see for yourself. ]

Nanami's and my Pokemon are different colors than they usually are. Might be like that. Genetic variation.
regression: my webtoon icons are free to take. DNT the other icons, as they may have been personally purchased by myself (my memory is escaping me). (Default)

Until the offspring are fully grown, I find it difficult to see Gyarados being one to negotiate.

It may have allowed me closer to it, but it doesn’t mean it trusts me. The space it keeps around itself and its family is still quite a distance.

[ ... ]

But I have not tried talking to it yet.

[ hm, wait a moment. ]

This might also be important, but gold Magikarp are exceptionally rare and can evolve into red Gyarados. And red Gyarados were pretty infamous back then for their temper? There was a entire arc focusing on calming it down because it was also thrashing around a certain lake, which when you think about it, is almost reminiscent of what's happening right now.

Just saying that I don't think we should let the gold Magikarp evolve unless we want two Gyarados rampaging and making things worse for everyone here.

[ right, 'cause you can't really press B to cancel evolution irl-- wait ]

You mean our natural charms or the move itself?

[ please don't make itaru charm a pokemon it's become cursed since That Day ]

Not sure if it'd work on Pokemon, though?

[ he usually uses it to curry favor with his bosses at work, hello???? ]

Besides, if I try anything like that to that Gyarados, it'd just give me a big whap! with its tail and I'd be blasting off again.
