[ With an info-gathering session on the eighth, Nanami decides to wait a few more days until they're about two weeks into the month to gather everyone again. She realizes that all the team members haven't sat down properly to bond with each other in a single group setting. She knows the importance of making sure that you get every single unit to have at least an A-rank with someone (S-rank if they're super compatible) and keeping up team morale so, on the thirteenth, a familiar shiny Mimikyu comes running up to everyone with a written note pinned on his costume: ]

[ Upon entering Le Nah the following day, a waiter will show the trainer to a large area in the back with multiple tables pushed together. There are already some appetizers ordered and spread across so feel free to help yourself. Nanami sits near the middle with her Mimikyu, feeding him by dropping little bits of food in front of him, and talking with her Mudkip, who just :V :V :V, as if she understands what he's saying. ]

Magikarp are usually red.

Nanami's and my Pokemon are different colors than they usually are. Might be like that. Genetic variation.

Until the offspring are fully grown, I find it difficult to see Gyarados being one to negotiate.

It may have allowed me closer to it, but it doesn’t mean it trusts me. The space it keeps around itself and its family is still quite a distance.

This might also be important, but gold Magikarp are exceptionally rare and can evolve into red Gyarados. And red Gyarados were pretty infamous back then for their temper? There was a entire arc focusing on calming it down because it was also thrashing around a certain lake, which when you think about it, is almost reminiscent of what's happening right now.

Just saying that I don't think we should let the gold Magikarp evolve unless we want two Gyarados rampaging and making things worse for everyone here.

[ Nanami nods in agreement with Itaru. Thank god that someone else here has also played the games. This makes it much easier for her to communicate without people getting frustrated that she's sprouting apparent gibberish. Instant A-rank with Itaru tbh ]

We'll have to find an Everstone if we want to stop it from evolving, but they don't sell those in stores. We also won't be able to force it from holding or using it.

How about we calm down the Gyarados by using Charm?
