[As you walk around the city, be it for pleasure or on some errand, there is a very good chance that you will suddenly be swarmed by tiny kids who arrive to happily kick you in the shins. Fortunately, they are still very small, so the kicks are about as effective as being slapped with a soft toy. In fact, some of them choose to press their Pokemon's paws against your ankles instead. Upon questioning, the kids happily explain: it's kick day! The day you can kick if you're small! A day of revenge, cries one of the kids!

An older child, tagging behind the group - clearly the designated babysitter, and bored of the antics, - explains that it's the National Kick A Tall Person Day. That's it, really. You kick anyone taller than you in the shins, - here she half-heartedly taps your legs with her foot, - and you can try to dodge kicks from shorter people. The toddlers love it.

There you have it. You are now free to participate in tormenting anyone taller than you! It seems like the power of the kick is fully dependent on your desire. Do you take this chance at revenge? Do you ignore it to go about your business and avoid further attacks for the day? Do you have an (ir)rational fear of getting kicked and hole up in your room for the day?

Should you try to return the kick favour, however, the kids stop you, frowning, and explain that no, you're not allowed to kick back, you're only allowed to throw the shorter people! Almost immediately, you are surrounded by children demanding you throw them up and down. Enjoy!

[ Hythlo will no longer feel multiple feet stomp on his back and her Ditto returns to turning into her bandages that wrap around her wrist. ]

[Hythlo pulls himself up to a sitting position, hissing in pain. Forget uncomfortable beds, this is going to be his biggest problem now. He stares at Sooyoung, somewhat disapprovingly.]

... I see. And you style yourself a lumberjack, I take it? Looking for big trees to hack down?

[ Sooyoung just gives him a flat stare before throwing what seems to be a punch at Hythlo's face, but she sends her Ditto for it to latch onto Hythlo's face instead. Die, twig man. ]

[Hythlo sways backwards as the Ditto hits, but it's too late. Welcome to your new life, hsy, and it's Hythlo trying to insult you and then getting punched for it.

He tries to pull the Ditto off with one hand, the other scrambling for his bag of Pokeballs. If she's gonna cheat, he is, too.]

[ Sooyoung gets another pokeball out, releasing the infamous Cramorant. She recalls Ditto back to her side and Hythlo might enjoy seeing whatever is out here before Cramorant takes his head into its mouth. ]

[THIS IS THE WORST DAY OF HIS LIFE AND HE'S DEFINITELY GOING TO CRY LATER!!!!

He certainly feels like crying already when Cramorant tries to vore him, but refuses to give up. He's not sure which Pokemon he's going to get out, but anything is better than nothing!!!

To (mostly) his luck, it's Pasithea... Whose first action upon seeing a GIANT BIRD EATING HER TRAINER is to 1) scream in her spidery way; 2) spit out a terrified Electroball. On the bright side, Cramorant is weak to it. On the less bright side, it hits Hythlo as well. What did he do to deserve this?]

[ Cramorant screams in pain while Hythlo's head is still in its mouth so that sure is something that's happening right now!! Cramorant weakly falls off and Sooyoung returns him into the pokeball.

[Hythlo gasps when he bird finally lets go of him. Oh my god, everything smells of... Fish, probably, or whatever it is birds have in them and whatever garbage Cramorant had been eating lately. He wishes he had anything to wipe his face off with--actually, you know what, his hoodie is ruined now, so he just pulls it off to wipe his face with a still dry part. He can wash it later. Or burn it.

He glares at Sooyoung's retreating back. Unfortunately for him, he's also unable to keep his mouth shut.]

You've the worst way of flirting with people, and believe me, I've seen many.

[ Sooyoung looks back at Hythlo with an absolutely disgusted look on her face. ]

[ You wanna go, Hythlo?? She picks out a pokeball between her fingers when they're minimized into their smaller forms. ]

[Hythlo can't help grinning triumphantly. He IS concerned for his life, however, and if things get too hot he will have to rely on the good old fashioned secret technique.]

And here I thought you someone who does not care what others think of her. Did my words hit the mark, then?

[ Hien throws a smoke bomb. Fuck you, hsy. He grabs Hythlo's hand and runs off with him to immediately bail. Once they're at a safer place, he quietly hisses. ]

What were you doing? You were really pushing your luck there...

[The arrival of the smoke bomb and Hien wasn't something Hythlo expected, so he only manages to make a short sound of surprise as he's dragged off. Once they start running, though, he doesn't need encouragement - he's more than aware he could easily die if he had kept that up. Still, he can't deny it was fun, for a given value and a given kind of fun.

He leans against a wall when they finally stop, trying to catch his breath.]

By the heavens, I hope she's got no Pokemon that could trace our scent...

[ Hien just stares at Hythlo, exactly like the icon. Without moving his face, he lightly taps Hythlo's shin with his foot. ]
