[OPEN] 9/15 - Team Meeting

[ With an info-gathering session on the eighth, Nanami decides to wait a few more days until they're about two weeks into the month to gather everyone again. She realizes that all the team members haven't sat down properly to bond with each other in a single group setting. She knows the importance of making sure that you get every single unit to have at least an A-rank with someone (S-rank if they're super compatible) and keeping up team morale so, on the thirteenth, a familiar shiny Mimikyu comes running up to everyone with a written note pinned on his costume: ]

team meeting plans to go to other islands and other discussions free food at Restaurant Le Nah tomorrow at 6:00pm - Nanami

[ Upon entering Le Nah the following day, a waiter will show the trainer to a large area in the back with multiple tables pushed together. There are already some appetizers ordered and spread across so feel free to help yourself. Nanami sits near the middle with her Mimikyu, feeding him by dropping little bits of food in front of him, and talking with her Mudkip, who just :V :V :V, as if she understands what he's saying. ]

I think... Asuka-kun, Nakajima-kun, you, and I are the only ones with Mudkips so far.

[ She stays at the Game Corner 24/7 so she tends to keep a close eye on the prizes to see who gets stuff or not. ]

If anyone else wants one, I can help win a few more before we all leave.

[ Sooyoung's avatar perks his head up at the mention. He kinda looks like Sooyoung, but at the same time, not really. The avatar is also male with shorter hair, a hat, and different clothes. He walks over to Nanami. ]

I'd like one. These come with Whirlpool, is that right?

[ Squint... is this one of their teammates? Hmmm. ]

Mmhm, they're bred with Whirlpool. Depending on the generation, you normally would have to use either a HM or TM to teach them it.

If I remember correctly, some of them learn it naturally.

[ But that might take forever, even without the level caps since the wild pokemon here are so weak. ]

But that doesn't sound very efficient. If we're also planning an evacuation, we need to do it as soon as possible, even if it isn't guaranteed that the island will be underwater. I think I saw a Pikachu around here, so if it has the lightning rod ability, lightning won't be a problem either.

[ Hmmmm... the squinting intensifies. Internally, of course. Nanami's expression hardly changes unless she's pouting or excited. ]

... are you one of the natives or did you come from another world?

[ The avatar raises the short sleeve that's his t-shirt to show his bands right below the shoulder--ones that signify dragon and fire. Then he drops it while looking at Nanami. His eyes seem to say "Please comment on my suggestion". ]

[ She looks at the band. Hm, well, that does mark him as an outsider, but she is still Suspicious and Squinting. However, she will push that aside because they do need to come up with a plan in a timely manner. She nods. ]

Having a Pikachu with Lightning Rod is a good idea, but they don't normally live on this island.

[ At least that she's seen. She does not know about Sooyoung's bird who likes to spit out Pikachus... ]

... but Goldeens have Lightning Rod as a hidden ability.

[ Since they're... you know, hidden. That's what Sooyoung figures anyway, since she doesn't know about those. ]

The guy with the fluffy brown hair has a Pikachu from what I saw. My bird pukes Pikachus from time to time, but I can't seem to catch one.

[ She nods. They do happen with special conditions, but if they're limited on Pikachus, they'll have to try whatever they can to get those Goldeens. Or, if what this avatar is saying is true... ]

The whirlpool we saw was pretty big... How many would be a good number?

In the games, you only needed a single Pokemon to get rid of a whirlpool... but I guess we should get as many as we can, just in case.

[ No definitive number asides from a buttload. ]

[She's still going on about games... But "as many as they can carry" is one part that makes sense to him. He nods.] OK, I can look after one too.

[ She nods. ]

[ It'd probably be a good idea for a few more of them to have one... ]

I'd like one too. That is, if you really don't mind winning me one.

[ She shakes her head. ]

I don't mind. I have a lot of coins, so it shouldn't take me long to get a bit more for another Mudkip.

[ They're 10,000 coins each, but Nanami has been busy at "work" so they cost like pennies to her. ]

I appreciate it! Is there something I can do for you in return?

[ Because even if she does have a lot of coins, she is doing him a favor! ]

[ She ponders for a second, but she can't think of anything. ]

Hmm, it's okay. I like playing games so it's easy to win Mudkips.

[ She nods. She doesn't think she will ever use it but she will certainly keep it in mind. Moving on... ]

Are you getting used to the Pokemon world, Flourite-kun?

[ He's older than her but he still gets to be -kun ]

[ That -kun catches him off guard for a second, but he just smiles at her. ]

I think so! It's a little chaotic, but at least most people here are friendly.

[ He also feels like he's overstaying his welcome and is worried about not moving onto the next world yet but that's for Future Fai to worry about. ]

[On one hand raising more critters on the other, a ticket out...]

Might need two more, for me and her. [Thumbing at Efi.] This place is running low on resources, so the less people straining it, the better.

[That's a nice way of putting "I don't want to be stuck here anymore."]

[ She nods, completely understanding. ]

Mm, a lot of people want Mudkips so I'll try to get them quickly, but it might take a few days.

[ She may be the SHSL Gamer but even she has her limits. ]

[ A nod. Since she'll be going into a coma after this, her Mimikyu will have to pick up the slack. That poor Pokemon... ]
