The nightmare is finally over and the aftermath sinks in. Wherever you are, news will eventually spread that the pokemon stopped their rampaging status, looking confused and some horrified by what had happened around them. Mari's Steelixes are finally off their guard duty, people are crying out of various emotions and people who are physically well enough flood out of the shelters in an attempt to search for their loved ones out there, whether they be people or pokemon. Some are reunited, some are not. Either way, people are in this together, comforting others over their losses and rebuilding the city. There's been quite a lot of destruction apart from the Pokemon Center and the hospital, after all. Some buildings are missing a roof, holes on the side wall, doors knocked down... some are unfortunate to have been entirely blasted away by an extremely strong rampaging pokemon's hyper beam (thanks, random Hydreigon).

After most people calm from their initial high emotions, the reconstruction starts. Of course, they also contact the people from Toran who helped with reconstruction efforts. Looks like the handymen will never rest...

The Pokemon Center is looking for additional manpower, getting pokeballs here to there, labeling whose pokemon are whose in things looking like incubators for those in queue of getting healed, and managing supplies. They are extremely short-staffed right now, so they will be looking for any help possible. Though, if you cause too much trouble than helping, you may be politely asked to leave or to help somewhere else. They don't have time for this. During the nights, the Pokemon Center may be crowded. After all, many people just lost their homes. They got nowhere to go.

The hospital is similar, in which they are also short-staffed. They're looking for disaster volunteers, and especially pokemon with healing capabilities to lessen the load on doctors and nurses who need to care for the more gravely wounded. With more help, the hospital will no longer seem as chaotic as before, but more along the lines of an orderly busy time. It helps that the people are no longer stuck inside due to the ongoings of the events outside, so the hospital is emptier than before, compared to when it was jam packed. The mental health department is also using Drowzees and Munnas to give people good dreams and eating nightmares without repercussions so that they can have a good night's rest. Not all wounds are physical, after all.

With the local Mart's help and other establishments, some people band together to supply people with food and drinks in a very open area in the park. Take a breather and eat something. If you look like you're running yourself ragged, one of the townspeople will drag you to eat and drink a proper meal. They don't need another patient in the hospital right now.

Remember that boba shop? Or those restaurants that you had the delicious meat from? Their damages vary from a broken window to being absolutely trashed. Pokemon and people alike are helping with moving the debris and cleaning up the mess. Someone piped up about recycling broken glass to make brand new windows with fire pokemon and proper glass making methods, so please don't throw them away!

The Radio Tower and the cemetery tower? They're both closed off to the public right now with yellow police caution tapes all around them. Your friendly policemen who all look the same advise nearby people to stay away from the two buildings at the moment. Please don't cause trouble or ask them questions... they're tired as it is like everyone else and they're not allowed to say anything for now, if ever. Your energy is better used elsewhere.

Holding him by the collar does nothing when the gear turning noises are heard and Hien immediately reverts to his default appearance. The first thing he does is knock Hythlo to the ground and step on his back. He has a bunch of imaginary anger marks on the back of his head. It's just that sort of situation. ]

[ Fai isn't even phased when Hien changes back and knocks Hythlo to the ground.

But he does pout. ]

Hien, you ruined it! We were just getting to the best part.

[ And he looks down at Hythlo. ]

Yes, there are songs like that where I'm from.

[Hythlo goes down with an "oof" sound, but he can't help laughing even as Hien steps onto his back. At least he's not Sooyoung, and Hien must be really naive if he thinks this is going to stop Hythlo from continuing to bully.]

I-It seems I am the odd one out... Anyroad, Hien refused to do all the voices to the song, so I had to help him out!

[ Hien quietly takes a deep breath in. He doesn't care if he ruined it, because. Well. He looks down at Hythlo at first... but then he walks over to Fai, takes his hand and pulls him along. With Hythlo, well, he's just dragging him by the foot. Sorry, not sorry. Though Hien's right arm (the one he's dragging Hythlo with), looks pretty fucked up with several layers of bandages all around it from the palm of his hand all the way to his shoulder. Maybe, just maybe, there was a reason why he was a dog.

They're in the karaoke building, in which the receptionist looks absolutely startled by how the entrance is made. ]

Three people please. One hour.

[ Ooookay, she's getting to that. It may be packed, but there was one room left! Hien thanks her and resumes dragging the other two. ]

[ Oh, looks like they're doing this now!

When they finally get to the room, Fai turns to Hythlo. ]

What's the name of the song? Maybe we can find it again.

[ He doesn't make a move to go to what he guesses is the song catalog on the table just yet, instead letting go of Hien's hand and moving to his other side to get a better look at his arm. ]

But first, I want to find out what happened to your arm.

[ Fai's a bit of a hypocrite in that one of his own hands is bandaged up but at least it doesn't look as bad. He gently touches Hien's arm, so there's no mistaking which arm he means. ]

[Normally, Hythlo would have at least tried to struggle out of Hien's grasp to walk to their room like a normal person, but... seeing the injury just makes him feel guilty again, so he accepts being dragged. Besides, he probably deserves it for bullying Hien so much.

When they get in and Hien finally lets go of him, Hythlo sits up, ready to answer Fai's question about the song and bring more misery to Hien's life... but his face falls instead as Fai decides to focus on the arm first.

Knowing Hien, he would probably either make something up or say it's No Big Deal, It'll Heal, much like he'd done at the hospital... so Hythlo speaks up before he can.]

It was my doing, Fai. During the... the rampage.

[ Hien supposes the topic would have been brought out eventually, but he also hoped it didn't because he knew what that meant to Hythlo. Though, he doesn't blame Fai. ]

My arm just happened to catch on fire from the fire Hythlodaeus made. That's all there is to it.

[ Fai looks at each of them for a moment. ]

Alright. Just be sure to change your bandages often or I won't make you any more cupcakes.

[ And just like that, Fai drops the subject, letting go of Hien's arm and moving to go flop onto one of the long couches. ]

Now let's pick that song you told me about! I want to hear Hien sing it.

[Hythlo gives an embarrassed half-shrug when Fai looks at him. If you were to ask him, it was more serious than Hien's arm just "happening" to catch on fire, but... it's complicated. It's hard to figure out who's at fault when they were both caught up in a nightmare.

But since it seems that neither Hien nor Fai seem particularly disturbed by it, Hythlo decides to let it go. Song time! He springs up to his feet to go pick up the mics, as well as the song selector... and then pauses. They just kept hitting the random song button that time, didn't they?]

Actually... What was it called again, Hien? I am not good at your languages.

[ Fortunately for himself, he only remembers that song as the "really awkward and sexual moaning song", so he actually doesn't know the title either... just that it probably starts with a "I". ]

... I don't remember.

[ Fai pouts. ]

What a shame!

[ He'll believe Hien this time, though, and he hums while he thinks. ]

[Hythlo chuckles.]

Oh dear, I do not think Hien wants to see me cry again. I propose we pick random songs - after all, we may come across it again!

[ Or not. Hien is well too aware of the possibility of an unlimited amount of raunchy or awkward songs they can sing, but he hits the random button anyway on the song selector.

Go wild. Because Hien is not joining in on this one. ]

[ Oh, Fai is definitely getting up for this one. It's played in all of the modern-adjacent worlds he's been in, so he recognizes it.

He will try to drag Hien into dancing, and he assumes that he won't have trouble getting Hythlo to dance with him at least. ]

[Hythlo definitely has no qualms about dancing along! As usual, he doesn't understand what the heck the song is about, but he's forming that opinion that most songs in this world are meaningless and designed more for childlike enjoyment than anything else.

More importantly, though, Hythlo is in on the "make Hien dance" agenda. He's also going to try and drag Hien into it, quite literally, tugging on his non-injured arm for him to join them.]

[ Hien feels like a cat scratching on the floor while being dragged. NOOOOooooo

He's here anyway, and just stares at the other two dance first, because there's no way you're going to make him even though he's here... is what he thinks. Please grab his sides. ]

[ Fai's not going to grab his side... he's going to pinch his side instead, as punishment for not dancing. ]

Come on, Hien! Don't you want to dance with us?

[ Look at how much fun he and Hythlo are having!! ]

[Hythlo likes to take the more direct approach, so he's going to grab Hien's non-injured arm again to try and make him at least do the cutesy nico-nico-nii style gestures.]

You were the one to invite us, after all!

[ Hien almost lets out a startled noise when Fai pinches his side. This is not the kind of dancing he enjoys!! Due to Hythlo's "aid", he does do the nico-nico-nii gesture and he sighs. They win, and he finally follows along to the dance like they are. He's so glad he's wearing a mask right now.

Pon pon wei wei wei. ]

[ Victory! Fai's smile grows more genuinely amused as he watches Hien dance. ]

Ah, I see why you didn't want to dance now! You didn't want to make us feel inferior.

[ Yes, he's going to try to embarrass Hien in any way he can. ]

[Hythlo is right in on that.]

Indeed! Hien is quite the master at dancing. Why, he offered to teach me, as well! Mayhap he would extend you the same courtesy, Fai?

[ Hien is actually no longer here. There's only his cloak he left behind because he can't deal with both of you right now.

[ Fai is immediately scooping up that cloak. His now. ]

Hien is such a terrible host! To think he wouldn't like to have the honor of teaching me to dance...

[ He actually already knows how to dance. ]

[Hythlo laughs.]

Now, now, I believe he's just shy! 'Twas with some reluctance he agreed to tutor me, after all, so mayhap 'tis simply overwhelming for him to have not one, but two students.

[He comes closer to pick up the edge of the cloak in Fai's hands and fan it out.]

More importantly... I've always wanted to do this! I wonder if the magick works if 'tis not Hien using it?

[He's... going to touch the inside of the cloak in hopes of sticking his hand into the hammerspace.]

[ Hythlo's hand is getting bitten.

By what? Who knows. By the time Hythlo withdraws his hand (if he chooses to), it'll let go so he can't see into the hammerspace void. ]
