[OPEN] 9/15 - Team Meeting

[ With an info-gathering session on the eighth, Nanami decides to wait a few more days until they're about two weeks into the month to gather everyone again. She realizes that all the team members haven't sat down properly to bond with each other in a single group setting. She knows the importance of making sure that you get every single unit to have at least an A-rank with someone (S-rank if they're super compatible) and keeping up team morale so, on the thirteenth, a familiar shiny Mimikyu comes running up to everyone with a written note pinned on his costume: ]

[ Upon entering Le Nah the following day, a waiter will show the trainer to a large area in the back with multiple tables pushed together. There are already some appetizers ordered and spread across so feel free to help yourself. Nanami sits near the middle with her Mimikyu, feeding him by dropping little bits of food in front of him, and talking with her Mudkip, who just :V :V :V, as if she understands what he's saying. ]

In video games, yes, she can easily take on that role because she's forced into it and the game works around the player, but it's not like that in real life. She's more than content to play the sidekick or the minor background character who only comes out when asked to. She just thought calling on a meeting will be good since there hasn't been a big proper gathering with everyone yet and if a leader appears here, she will happily let them handle the set-up of the next meetings. More sleep for her...! ]

If you don't mean the Gyarados, why do you think it's the actual storm that's fighting? You have to convince others to believe you if you are certain that you're right.

I'm certain of it, I just don't have proof. We took a boat out from the fishing docks by the sea, and then all of a sudden, the storm was exactly overhead. Then it got worse, and started churning up all the water. Somehow, it felt conscious. So... whatever's out there, I think it started by kicking up that first storm two months ago, and it's watching.

[ She understands that this is very frustrating and it must be overwhelming as well. It's only been two weeks since everyone arrived. There is a lot to take in and deal with. She wonders how her real-life counterpart might have handled this... ]

Mm, do you want to go out and investigate again? A Mudkip can calm down the waters and maybe it'll be enough for you to see through to the bottom or even swim down there.

Remember our plan last time? I have a Mudkip who can use Whirlpool, so I can at least provide backup. Not sure if I can Dive, though.

I don't think we need to dive. I think it'll be dangerous if we do. But the Mudkips could help us cross the sea... If we can't figure out how to stop the storm, we can escape the island— help others escape the island too— and try to see if we learn anything from the other side of the storm. Gyarados might calm down if the storm does. How does that sound?

Still a little like giving up... It's true that evacuating people would help, but not everyone would want to. Or be able to. They live here.

Yeah, I mean. Toran is pretty much a rainy sort of town. The townspeople look like they're used to this place, so all we have to do is calm that Gyarados down and not rain on everyone's parade 24/7.

Anyway, Nanami said that our Mudkip know Whirlpool. [ even he doesn't know that they'd know egg moves from the start, whoops ]. Whirlpool can trap Gyarados for a set number of turns, and even if I'm not sure how that translates to real-time gameplay, I think if we let our Mudkip set up one Whirlpool at a time we can buy enough time to cross the sea.

They have a few TMs at the Game Corner as prizes, but none of them will help us.

But I agree with Arisato-kun. We might be able to find a way to calm the storm on the other side and Whirlpool will help us get across. We were going to split up into teams so maybe we should start deciding who will go and stay right now.

Good idea. Maybe we should bring the ones who got a Mudkip from the Game Corner along? Either way, I'm coming with.

I think... Asuka-kun, Nakajima-kun, you, and I are the only ones with Mudkips so far.

[ Sooyoung's avatar perks his head up at the mention. He kinda looks like Sooyoung, but at the same time, not really. The avatar is also male with shorter hair, a hat, and different clothes. He walks over to Nanami. ]

Mmhm, they're bred with Whirlpool. Depending on the generation, you normally would have to use either a HM or TM to teach them it.

If I remember correctly, some of them learn it naturally.

[ But that might take forever, even without the level caps since the wild pokemon here are so weak. ]

But that doesn't sound very efficient. If we're also planning an evacuation, we need to do it as soon as possible, even if it isn't guaranteed that the island will be underwater. I think I saw a Pikachu around here, so if it has the lightning rod ability, lightning won't be a problem either.
